I worked with Carey Olsen to create a cataloge of some of Cayman’s notable historic spots including Heroes Square, Mr Arthur’s, Miss Lassie’s, Bodden Town houses, Lovers Wall, Captain Herman’s Fish Fry, the Yellow Deep Submarine at Ocean Frontiers and the Light House Resturant.

Commercial Real Estate Photography in Camana Bay, Architecture & Environmental Images for Dart Enterprises.

I worked with Dart team to create a cataloge of clean, bright and cool images of their commercial locations, specifically Camana Bay. I looked for various wide angle shots to clearly showcase the commercial buildings, as well as interesting close up details of each property.

When visiting the Cayman Islands there are a few “must-do’s” such as visiting Starfish Point, seeing the Blue Iguana’s at the Botanical Gardens or visiting the Sister Islands, but usually the most recommended attraction is of course Stingray City. Before this photo trip I had visited the Stingrays several times, usually to photograph visitors touching these strange creatures for the first time and giving them a kiss for an apparent 7 years good luck! As fun as it is to visit with friends and capturing fun photos for the visitors, I never got shots of the Stingrays themselves that I was ever satisfied with.

This trip involved setting off before sunrise and capturing the golden light as the sun rises over the horizon. As it was only a small group visiting it was beautifully quiet, and the stingrays seemed less shy than usual, often brushing against me as they swam by. They would also swim right up to my camera, where as usually they veer off to avoid me. 

Even if you’re not a photographer I would say if you’re going to visit Stingray City in Grand Cayman, try and arrange a trip for Sunrise. You’ll avoid the crowd and the scenery is truly breathtaking. Big thanks to Cayman Turtle Divers for organising the boat trip.

After living in the Cayman Islands for around 2 years, it was about time we arranged a trip to see Little Cayman. I knew that there wasn’t a lot of people living there, so I had an idea of attempting to timelapse the night sky – and I was not disappointed. Not only did there seem to be no mosquitoes there, but we could see the Milky Way! Not as clear as in Peru on our Machu Picchu trek, but clear enough. And it was nice and comfy sitting outside at night.

The daytime was also great for site seeing and photography. Kayaking out to Owen Island and searching for Nudibranchs, scuba diving, bird watching at the Booby Pond, and quiet beaches with virtually no one there.

We also did a quick trip to Cayman Brac, and in the few hours we had there we drove all the way to the Bluff on the other side of the island. Totally worth it for a drone shot of the lighthouse. An amazing long weekend in paradise.

I was particularly excited for this trip, not only would it be my first time into the Southern Hemisphere, but my first time going somewhere with virtually no light pollution – and I was not disappointed! You could see the Milky Way perfectly clear, it was truly breathtaking. An astrophotographers dream!

As we were backpacking and doing a lot of hiking, I had to keep my gear to a minimum, so rather than my usual full frame set up I used a crop censor Sony a6000. Paired with my Samyang 14mm and Sigma 35mm Art lens it still did a great job of documenting the whole journey – from Cusco, the Salkantay trek to Machu Picchu, the Rainbow Mountain and the near by Red Valley (which by the way is totally underrated), through the Salt Flats of Uyuni, the Red Lagoons, Pink Flamingoes, sand dunes in Huacachina and finally seeing lazy Sea Lions on a boat tour in Paracas. We did a saw so much on this trip and I would absolutely recommend doing both Peru and Bolivia to anyone interested in visiting South America.

For 29 years of my life I had never visited Asia, so when I started dating a girl from China I couldn’t wait to visit her family and see a side of the world totally new and unfamiliar to me. One of the most photogenic places I visited in the Sichuan region of China was the Jiezi Ancient Town in Chongzhou Shi.

​One thing I loved about China was the buzz around the towns and cities. Shops and food stalls remained open late at night,  people and cyclists roamed the streets, and colourful lights shined on the rain soaked floor. Jiezi town is truly a photographers dream.

When I shared my first hyperlapse/timelapse film I didn’t expect the reception it received. The Leeds community is very passionate about their city and I guess my hyperlapse film did a good job of representing the diversity and beauty of the cityscape.

After reaching over 3 million views on Facebook, and decent attention on Vimeo and Youtube, I was getting a lot of inquires about how I made the hyperlapse film. I also had Yorkshire Evening Post get in touch wanting to shine some light on the project.

All this happened the week before I moved out of Leeds after living there for 10 years to move to the Cayman Islands. As it was the first timelapse/hyperlapse film that I had produced it took me months to get the technique right and gradually gather enough timelapses on the city, and I felt it was a good way to say farewell to the place I lived and developed as a person for the past decade. I was blown away by the reception and stoked that Yorkshire Evening Post wanted to learn about the project. See the article here:

This is just a small selection of the shots I got whilst travelling around Panama. An incredibly beautiful and visual part of the world; with a massive contrast from the old, tattered parts of the cities to the large scale, modernistic urban areas with intimidating structures, along with a even bigger contrast to the vast tropical forests around the rural landscapes.
