As a part of Picture This Studios I got he opportunity to shoot a very unique and cool wedding shoot. Chad Munro asked me to be second shooter for a couple to get married on surfboards in the sea, how could I say no?
"We had high hopes for a very unique and striking wedding shoot for Mariska and Fernando, and we weren’t disappointed. Their idea to have their marriage on surfboards in the sea was a pretty cool idea in itself, but with their relaxed personalities and athletic physiques the match was perfect. Not only that, but the morning sun at 5:30am flooded Spotts Beach, Grand Cayman with a glorious light worthy of a Hawaiian Surf Shoot. Our two camera set up captured the range of angles we needed to tell their story, having the 70-200mm zoom lens onshore and Aquatech underwater camera housing worked great for capturing little moments of love. Even after the ceremony Mariska and Fernando were so easy going and fun to photograph. We had Fernando walk in and out of the sea repeatedly, carrying his surfboard with the waves crashing against him, it was the perfect surfer setting."
